Careers at Devincio

Careers in architectural technology.Work that rewards precision.

Devincio integrates a building's technology around its architecture — with 25 years of practice behind the standard. If documented, careful work is how you like to practice, we'd like to hear from you.

How we work

Good installations start with careful teamwork.

Our work includes design, installation, equipment racks, networks, and long-term client support. We plan before walls close, prepare drawings other trades can follow, and care for systems after installation.

That standard shapes the day-to-day. Decisions are written down. Details are checked before they are covered up. Clients, architects, and builders are treated as long-term relationships rather than transactions.

We keep this page honest: we describe the disciplines the practice is built on, list only genuinely open roles, and welcome a general introduction when nothing is posted.

Role families

The disciplines the practice is built on.

Design

Systems Design & Engineering

Planning technology around the architecture before walls close — system architecture, documentation, schematics, wire schedules, and the decisions that make everything downstream calmer.

Field

Field Installation & Integration

Executing documented designs on active job sites — clean infrastructure, precise rack work, careful device placement, and coordination with the other trades in the room.

Engineering

Programming & Commissioning

Turning installed hardware into one coherent experience — control programming, network configuration, calibration, and testing until the system behaves the way the design intended.

Service

Client Service & Support

Caring for systems over years, not weeks — remote diagnostics, on-site service visits, and the patient client communication that long-term stewardship requires.

Operations

Project Coordination

Keeping projects aligned with builders, architects, and designers — schedules, site readiness, documentation flow, and the follow-through that keeps commitments honest.

Don't see your discipline? Craft travels well — introduce yourself anyway.

  • Client Service & Support

    Service Manager — Commercial

    Northbrook, IL

    Northbrook-based

    Full-time

Lead the service experience for Devincio’s commercial clients after installation. This role brings structure to incoming requests, guides technical response across remote and field teams, and keeps clients informed while complex integrated systems are diagnosed, restored, and cared for over time.

    What you would do

    • Own commercial service intake, triage, prioritization, and follow-through from first report through resolution.
    • Coordinate remote diagnostics and on-site response across technicians, programmers, vendors, and client teams.
    • Serve as the escalation point for complex audiovisual, control, network, and integrated-building system issues.
    • Keep clients informed with clear expectations, concise status updates, and useful closeout notes.
    • Maintain accurate service histories, troubleshooting records, system documentation, and recurring-issue visibility.
    • Plan preventive maintenance and system-health work that reduces avoidable interruptions.
    • Turn patterns from the service desk and field into practical recommendations for project, engineering, and commissioning teams.

    What we look for

    • Demonstrated experience supporting commercial audiovisual, control, networked, or integrated-building systems.
    • A systematic approach to troubleshooting across hardware, software, signal flow, control, and network layers.
    • Experience coordinating technical staff and balancing multiple client priorities without losing follow-through.
    • Strong written documentation habits and the ability to translate technical findings into clear client communication.
    • Sound judgment about when to resolve remotely, dispatch field support, involve a manufacturer, or escalate internally.
    • A service mindset grounded in calm communication, accountability, and long-term client care.
